As I follow the journey of my soul, each piece blends natural form with spiritual expression
Artist Profile
e.wasserhase, a Hamburg-born artist, harmoniously blends natural materials with intricate, dot-based painting techniques. Her art is deeply influenced by Aboriginal styles and is characterized by the use of reclaimed natural elements such as palm bark, eucalyptus bark, and palm leaves, which she transforms into unique, sculpture-like pieces. These creations are often adorned with thousands of tiny dots, reflecting her meditative and mindful approach to art-making.
Having travelled large parts of the world through her work at the WHO, she has also lived in Germany, England, France, Switzerland, and now resides in Portugal. She brings a Southern European sensibility to her work and her background in psychology, along with her practices in energy work, meditation, Tai Chi, and yoga, deeply inform her artistic process. She views each piece as a fusion of natural form and spiritual expression, aiming to create art from ‘rejected’ pieces of nature that embody both beauty and mindfulness.
e.wasserhase was featured as “Artist of the Month” in the April 2023 edition of East Algarve Magazine, and in 2024, she featured as the artist of Artsyshark. Together with her husband, she issued a Book on Art and Poetry called 'Songs for Mother Nature'[1], which combines both their passions of painting and poetry.
